Fibre-Beet Spreads its’ Wings to New Zealand

The team at British Horse Feeds is delighted to announce the launch of Fibre-Beet in New Zealand.

A super-fibre conditioning feed, Fibre-Beet is a formulated blend containing all the benefits of the original Speedi-Beet product, with added high-quality alfalfa for optimum condition and to provide quality protein for muscle tone and function.

Fibre-Beet is a superb conditioning feed and is ideal for those horses and ponies needing to control starch intake.

Ideal for horses prone to digestive upsets and very palatable for fussy eaters, Fibre-Beet has added biotin for hoof quality and is suitable for laminitics. When soaked it is ready to feed in only 45 minutes in cold water, or 15 minutes in warm water.

Alongside the launch of Fibre-Beet in New Zealand British Horse Feeds are delighted to welcome their first New Zealand-based Brand Ambassador, Caitlin Spellman.

Caitlin (14) is based in Hamilton, New Zealand and first started riding aged just two-years-old when she took part in her first pony ride for her second birthday. From this experience Caitlin was hooked and started lessons at the local equestrian centre even though her legs didn’t even reach the end of the saddle flaps.

When Caitlin turned seven her parents bought her first pony, Polly who was a 11.2hh Welsh-bred pony. It was with Polly that Caitlin first came across British Horse Feeds. Polly was recommended Speedi-Beet not long after she came home to Caitlin and she has used the feed ever since on all her horses.

Said Caitlin: “I highly recommend it to everyone, it is a fantastic product and now Fibre-Beet is available in New Zealand I will be trying that too.”

Caitlin’s ponies have included River, a 14.2hh Connemara who was only four-years-old and had only been ridden for just three months when the family bought him. He quickly gave Caitlin a lot of riding experience and confidence to succeed with the pair now competing to Level Three dressage.

Caitlin now also has Annie a 16.2hh Hanoverian, ex 2* eventer who is 18-years-old. The duo are competing at Level Four dressage and have high hopes to get to Prix St George in the next few years. The young rider is also sitting her Pony Club certificates on Annie currently working towards her B Test certificate with the intention to complete her H certificate grade.

Caitlin’s future goals are to follow her interest in Equitation science and dressage which she has gained inspiration for from her mentor Jody Hartstone, Grand Prix dressage rider and international horse trainer.

Caitlin took on the opportunity of riding Ali Baba, Jody’s Grand Prix dressage stallion for a dressage masterclass and this has inspired her to one day own her own Lusitano and compete at Grand level.

Caitlin is thrilled to join the British Horse Feeds team and is delighted that Fibre-Beet has now launched in New Zealand.
